Reddit scan:I bought some of the knife blanks you can get from woodcraft where you add your own handle a couple years ago. I would like to move the balance more forward.I want to switch to some stabilized wood scales and while doing that cut out large parts of the tang. Will these cutouts reduce the surface area between the scales and the tang too much for a strong glue bond? I am using the 5 min epoxy bottles from loctite.I could cut out something to put in place of the steel cutouts, and I could switch glue if that would help. I would prefer to go without any pins in the handle, I could go use a drill press at the local makerspace but I don't want to make a trip for such a small task. http://ift.tt/2pEp04Z by Towson Makerspace
