SEO, Search Engine Optimization is not dead. Before (using Yoast SEO on WordPress) Do it right and you get the entire first page of a google search. That was where my education ended with SEO, and now we begin again. SEO Moving Forward This post will be an attempt to satisfy a few new ideas. Since taking over as CEO last summer, I have focused on stabilizing the existing business while exploring ways by which we can grow more rapidly than in the past. There is enormous demand for TechShop to expand across the country in communities large and small. I've come to believe that this could not be achieved with our existing business model. Today we are announcing a fundamental change in how we do business by announcing our new partner licensing model. Reddit scan:It doesn't take much to become aware of one of the new and exciting super heroes in Platinum bay - Seraph. Working almost as a bridge between the native law enforcement and the many well-meaning vigilantes who work in and around the Bay, she seems to have picked up no small amount of attention from her looks, to her power and even social views. There is a telltale blue streak across the sky as the Seraph takes flight, having taken a personal call to resolve a tenuous situation inside one of the local grade schools. It appears several unusual-looking and hyper aggressive adolescents are about to break into the school, which is currently on lockdown after they crashed a car just outside. Would anyone arrive in this part of town to see or assist the hero at work?Alternatively, Serena can be found in her civilian guise in the liminal space between old and new Platinum Bay - not too far from the Jade Star bar. She has purchased the street level of one of the restored building

Reddit scan:So, I've been researching this very interesting model for some time now.I'm sure you've heard of makerspaces. A publically accessible space, (often it is in a library), which houses machines such as 3d printers as well as a community of people who like to make things with them.A less well known, but arguably far more important iteration of this concept is seen in the organization known as Fab Labs. I will quickly link some info on them here from something I wrote elsewhere:Started by the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, Fab Labs are now becoming a global phenomenon with over 800 Labs, and operating on every continent. Each Fab Lab hosts a common set of machines, and touts the ability to be able to manufacture (almost) anything. With a high quality distributed educational model including its own accreditation system, as well as open public access and operating on the ethos of design global, manufacture local. Reddit scan:So this was my Memorial Day project, the Minnow (MINi-arrOW).This is a smaller (small but not too small) 50% keeb that has arrow keys and a full home row. 60% Minila for scale. It's also going to be my first hand-wired board, and a major part of it will be writing a guide that covers everything from the design to the final build. Eventually, I'd like to turn the site into an ebook. Also, the building is ahead of the writing right now. Last night was "laser night" at the local makerspace and I was able to get a plate cut from some scrap (I had no choice of material). So this one is 5mm, but it works as a demo. The switches are just a press-fit to hold the keys, which are from a spare Chinese set for my Minila. I also don't have a 2.75 shift, so the 2.25 enter key is filling in. Besides, if the profile is wrong, might as well flip 'em!The guide can be found here: http://ift.tt/2qx0qUB(That's just the splash page. The full guide is being written as I

Reddit scan:Hey y'all,I'm new to the area, and I was wondering if you have a makerspace or community of makers out there. If not, is there an interest in starting one up?I've got some Linux experience, as well as a Raspberry Pi / Arduino combo begging to be broken in, so I'm moving towards the more technical aspects of making. My (albiet amateur) strength really lies in woodworking, sewing, and general "building," so I'm looking for like-minded people-artists, programmers, you name it- to get together and explore our shared interests, and maybe learn a thing or two.It sounds like you've got a pretty good community art centre- would this be a good place to start? http://ift.tt/2raHMRC by Towson Makerspace

Reddit scan:Hello, and welcome. This is an essay which describes a model of network building which I believe can fundamentally change the nature of human organization in our world.I'm sorry that it is a little longform for the reddit medium, but it takes a while for me to get at the breadth of what the model is capable of.This model seeks not only to decentralize, but to "grease" the wheel of human innovation and also to help us mitigate and adapt to climate change and all the complex issues of the 21st century. Please read through and give me some feedback on what you think! For the past several months I've been thinking deeply about creating an alternative way of doing things within our system that is actually viable and which can help us solve our problems in the world.I know many here are delving deep into decentralized web systems thinking like blockchain and its many uses. However I've been focused on a slightly different angle of things. I want to explore how

Reddit scan:Hi everybody, I am building my voron and even though I have practically the entire frame ready, I am not happy with some printed parts. For the parts I used a MakerSpace where the 3D-Printers are communal. This often means that you need a to re-calibrate the printer before use, sometimes there are no 0.6 nozzles available, and the fact that the printers are in constant use by several users just shows on the end parts.I am considering getting a basic 3D printer kit for the main purpose of printing the voron parts.Could anyone recommend a kit? However I've been focused on a slightly different angle of things. I want to explore how to decentralize our system in the physical world. And I want to explore how to do this optimally in the face of climate change, resource hardening, and all the other social and environmental systemic threats we're gonna be dealing with in the near and not so near future.Part of the reason I make this post is to petition for help. I want collaborators to join me. A network theory is only good if it leaves the head of one individual and instead occupies many.In order to do that, I want to lay out for you the synthesis of where my thought is leading me and why I believe it i

Reddit scan:Backround (skip if you want): I'm 23, I transferred from a community college to my current engineering school, MechE. I have a bad habit of taking on responsibilities and projects I don't have the time to do. I've been working, leading club activities, and co-founded a fledgling community Makerspace with my fellow students.I struggled with a load a lot of you probably might scoff at (and for anyone else, it WAS hard) I was taking 5 classes: thermodynamics, dynamics, and engineering design, as well two chem classes required for my major.I also moved off campus to live with friends in the middle of the semester, to deal with the loneliness of not having friends on campus.Due to some GPA magic, I got a 3.4 for my last semester, which is gone since I failed 3-ish classes this semester. But I managed to get an engineering internship for the summer with the old one, the best opportunity I've ever had. I need to make this work since it could be the chance to feel l
