Reddit scan:Hey, people! We at our Makerspace are considering arranging a fidget spinner workshop, where kids get to make their own spinner. The thing is, we would like to avoid using 3d printers, as they take too long, and we don't have people to model them out for the kids in CAD. What we do have is a large wood workshop, as well as a large laser cutter. What do you think would be cool for kids to do? We could make the spinners modular, or layered, so they combine layers of different shapes, or we could let them cut their own shapes out on a saw (supervised, of course). There are many possibilities, and I'd love to hear your suggestions. Remember- it's all about the kids having fun, and maybe even learning a thing or two:) http://ift.tt/2qRce1a by Towson Makerspace
